About Our Grants

United Way of Cumberland County's Partnership Program Funding Grant

These grants support ongoing programs that align with our community impact focus areas: Education, Health and Critical Basic Needs & Financial Stability. United Way of Cumberland County will host a Mandatory Request for Funding Proposal Workshop for organizations interested in applying for program funding.

  Youth Growth Stock Trust Grant

The Youth Growth Stock Grant was established in 1992, due to the late Robert Short’s concern for the well-being of the community’s youth.  Each year, grants are awarded to local programs, initiatives, schools and scholarships that specifically benefit Cumberland County youth

Emergency Food & Shelter Program (EFSP) Grant

The Emergency Food & Shelter Program is a Federal program administered by the U.S Department of Homeland Security’s Federal Emergency Management Agency (DHS/FEMA). It has been entrusted through the McKinney-Vento Homeless Assistance Act (PL 100-77) “to supplement and expand ongoing efforts to provide shelter, food and supportive services” by local social service organizations for people across our Nation who are hungry, homeless, and in economic crisis
